The best of Niseko, off the slopes
The Niseko Snow Experience brings together three of the finest Niseko non-ski activities in a single outing. It takes you into a wilderness area outside the main resort, where deep, untouched snow settles through the forest and the only sound is your own footsteps.
Snowshoe through the trees, take a snowmobile out across the snow, then settle in by the fire with hot drinks and snacks. Three ways to live Hokkaido's winter, in a single outing.
A guide leads the way and a professional photographer captures every moment, so the whole group is in the pictures, including whoever usually takes them.

On Snowshoes
A mellow, family-friendly walk through silent, snow-laden forest. Snowshoes take a minute or two to learn, and every age finds its stride.
Then
On The Snowmobile
An exhilarating ride out across the snow. Guests 16 and over take the controls, and younger riders sit tandem with a parent or guardian.
Finally
By The Fire
Warm up around an open fire with hot drinks and snacks, seats set out in the snow and the forest all around you.

Pricing is per group and works out from ¥54,000 per guest for a group of eight. The per-guest price is higher for smaller groups. A video edit of your outing is available as an add-on for ¥60,000. Please bring proper winter boots. Everything else for the activities is provided. Runs through the winter season, snow and conditions permitting.

Pick Up
We collect you from your accommodation at 10:00 or 13:00 and drive out to the wilderness area.

Snowshoe
Strap on snowshoes and follow your guide through the forest at an easy, family pace.

Snowmobile
Ride out across the snow, driving your own machine from 16, or tandem with a parent or guardian.

By The Fire
Hot drinks and snacks by the fire, then home. Your edited gallery usually follows within two to three days.

A professional photographer joins every outing and captures it as it happens. Nothing to pose for, nothing to organise, and every member of the group in the frame.

A photographer walks with you
Every outing includes a professional photographer who captures the day as it unfolds: the first steps on snowshoes, the grin on the snowmobile, the quiet moment by the fire.
You receive 50+ professionally edited images in an online gallery. Add a video edit and relive the whole outing in motion, set to a soundtrack of your choosing.

Good To Know
Everything you need for the day
Ages
From age 3 for the snowshoe walk and the fire. Snowmobile passengers from 6, drivers from 16. A parent or guardian joins any guest under 18.
Group Size
Up to eight guests. Pricing is per group, so the more of you there are, the less each guest pays.
Timing
Pickup at 10:00 or 13:00 from your accommodation, with transport both ways. About three and a half hours door to door.
What To Wear
Proper winter boots and warm layers. Snowshoes and snowmobile helmets are provided.
Ability
An easy, mellow walk. No skiing, snowboarding or previous experience needed.
Weather
Falling snow is part of the magic, so we head out in it. If conditions become dangerous or turn to whiteout, we reschedule or refund.
